A Goal Is Just A Future Accomplishment

For some strange reason, it took me a long time to understand that a goal is just a future accomplishment, which I am simply in the process of attaining.

When we are authentic, we can truly understand that the results we are experiencing now, as well as the results we will experience in our future, are 100% our responsibility; I have learned that I manifest everything that I put my mind to.

It comes down to this; established goals, or lack of established goals, create our future whether we like it or not.

So how do we take control of our future?

Well, as it pertains to goals, I learned how to do this quite effectively in the exercises found in a program called Beyond Freedom. Beyond Freedom has shown me, first of all, how to determine what I desire. Then, how to make goals out of these desires and finally, it gives me the framework for how to break down these goals into attainable time frames (bite size pieces) to ensure success.

Beyond Freedom has also shown me how to form habits from the principles of success; this ensures that I automatically choose the decisions that will move my life and/or my business forward as nothing else makes sense to do.

I think that this stuff is really cool!

There is relief in knowing that anything is possible when you have learned how to break your goals down to know exactly what you will be required to do to attain them.

Attaining goals is done by simply developing a belief that what you are going after is attainable. The second component is that you must truly desire attaining this goal for yourself, not someone else; in other words, it must be relevant to you, so properly determining your goals is hugely important.

But here is a distinction that is very important for you to understand; when you are developing your goal, you are going to feel good about it, kind of excited about it; and you should. However, this feeling and excitement will typically diminish, rather quickly, as life has a way of doing that to us.

I do not say this to discourage you, but rather to point out that a goal is more of a decision that you make and choose to stick to it, right through until it is attained, so you can materialize the feeling that you experienced when you attained the goal.

Of course, along the way to your goal, as you remind yourself of what it is you are working towards accomplishing, you will feel good and excited, but, it is important for you to know that this is not a “constant high”.
